Genially, an amazing tool!

Hi! Here’s one of my students’ presentations using Genially , it's about Mae Jemison . Here's how we made the presentations:

Stage 1: Students are put in groups of 3, I let them choose the groups this time, I sometimes group them myself according to different learning levels.

Stage 2: Students are explained about the project: they need to do a presentation using Genially. They will have 5 days in the ICT room to finish it. They will have to look up for information, cite their sources and present the project orally in the class. Every student will read some parts of the Genially text, and there is a minimum of 3 slides per presentation plus sources and cover. They are given a handout with the evaluation criteria they will be evaluated on: writing and speaking skills.

Stage 3: Students go to the ICT room for 5 days. I monitor their work by registering their process and what they do everyday

Stage 4: Students present their Genially.

I believe this tool has been very useful and motivating for the students, as they have developed their ICT skills by figuring out by themselves how to use the app, they have searched for information on the internet in English and cited their sources and they have practised their speaking skills by reading some parts of the presentation aloud.
